I'm proud to offer this gaiwan because of it's shape, thickness, and overall feels.
Design is simple, and elegant. It will work in most settings.
The light blue matte finish gives it a wonderful texture and aesthetic, while the inside is a brilliant white glaze that will help the color of the tea pop as you're brewing. Making visual indication of steep completeness more obvious.
The gaiwan has uniform thin walls that makes warming much easier warm the teaware quick and can also be used to dissipate heat for finer green teas.
The gaiwan is an good all-rounder, this is now my go-to travel gaiwan and I regularly bring it to work or when I'm on the road.
If I had to be picky with which teas I would use this gaiwan for best brewing practice, I would recommend this gaiwan for greens, white, green wulongs, and young sheng puer.
